England and Wales - Joined At The Border

Try being half-and-half. Confusing. The process of racially patronising myself all day is only punctuated by inexplicable outbursts of full-throttled close harmony. And the bizarre urge to dig a hole 500 feet deep and then spend my entire working life in it is sometimes overwhelming. Thankfully, I still only seem to want to eat (baby) sheep...

  1. I was waiting for the inevitable rugby comparison. Thankfully after what was almost my entire adult life we once again (The Welsh that is) have a superior rugby team to England, thus restoring the natural order of the world. And yes, sheep are only for eating, don't know what funny ideas they've been having about us over the border.

  2. Lol. Quite right.

The reference to "tidy" makes me think the guy who wrote this silly song is from the Swansea-Llanelli locale...maybe. I hear it a lot but maybe I'm wrong.

  3. I don't know, 'tidy' is quite popular in the local vernacular here in the Rhondda too.
