No wonder the government and the PCC want to censor blogs. They won't be able to stop the truth coming out.
ReplyDeleteI kind of think they're getting a bit desperate, having nailed their political colours firmly to the AGW mast. As it unravels, because the world just refuses to follow the warming models (how very dare it), so too does the credibility of politicians of every stripe - and that's already been pretty badly damaged by, among many other things, the exes scandal.
ReplyDeleteThe sight today of Labour politicians, particularly Brown, milking the bad weather in Cumbria (in late November - quelle surprise) as if their lives depended on it - and making a laughable link as often as possible with "climate change" - was sickening.
For one thing, it seems you can, after all, confuse the climate with the weather (something which 'sceptics' are accused of doing all the time) - but only when it suits the AGW narrative and furthers the cause of alarmist propaganda.
Neat trick, but not unfamiliar. I seem to remember it was one of Goebbels favoured approaches to news management.
But the truth will out, bloggers or no bloggers. It's only a matter of time.
The climate is changing - it always is. But is it warming, cooling or what? Are we responsible for it? On the strength of those emails, I would say the doubts about that are so massive, the zealot scientists have had to manipulate, hide or delete data for over a decade just to keep the ball rolling. It could well be that for them, time's already up. But that won't stop them - no way. It certainly won't stop the politicians (too much at stake). So what we have here is an impasse. I, for one, have no idea what will give way first, but I reckon we're in for some pretty big shifts in attitude, particularly from governments, in the next decade of this century.

ReplyDeleteie: no rules if you're on the 'right' side. Lots of rules if you're on the 'wrong' side. Kills the debate stone dead, see.)
I bet Al Gore felt like even more of a prick than usuak when he founf out it's a load of cobblers.
ReplyDeleteusuak = usual.
ReplyDeleteWTF is with all these typos lately?
Well, if you're anything like me, then those little typo chestnuts might have something to do with the second (or so) bottle of a rather cheeky Bin45 red Aussie 14 percenter I picked up in Morrisons in the twilight hours today.
ReplyDeleteHalf price = double bubble. What were they thinking ;)
Nope, sober as a judge. Missed marr this morning but bet the leaked e-mails didn't even warrant a mention.
ReplyDeleteLol. 'fraid I missed that :)
